Mark your calendars for our annual December Holiday Camp. Camp runs December 27-28, 2023 from 9am-noon in Mazama. We will use the Mazama Community Center as our base, a place to warm up, store bags and gear and swing in for a snack and warm beverage at the end of the day! Skiers should plan to classic ski on Day one and skate on Day two.
For ages 6-13 skiers of any level! This year we will open it up to skiers ages 13-16 IF we get at least five skiers in this age range. Come find the joy of Nordic skiing, have fun in the snow and learn some skills! Bring ski gear (classic on day 1, skate on day 2), snacks, water, appropriate clothing for the weather, extra gloves/mitts, dry socks and a happy attitude! We will have some snacks/treats.
What to Bring:
*appropriate ski gear for the technique(s) of the day
*water bottle, hand warmers, healthy snack (we’ll provide a few treats), extra gloves and socks, multiple layers for changing temperatures
*please LABEL everything even your rental skis and poles … colored electricians’ tape with Sharpie marker peels off easily upon return of equipment
Note: All kids are welcome! There is a lower rate for Methow Valley Nordic Team members–if you have a red jacket, you qualify for the lower price. Kids who aren’t MVNT team members are not required to be Methow Valley Nordic members.
