Methow Biathlon hosts a fun race for both experienced biathletes and beginners.  Safety clinic and practice for those that are not USBA safety certified on Sunday January 17th after the XC race and then a race format on Monday January 18th.  All events will take place at Liberty Bell High School biathlon range and McCabe Trails.  The Novice race will be a Sprint format with two shooting bouts.  The Experienced race will be a Pursuit format with four shooting bouts.  Both races will use 30-second intervals for the start.

Registration is online at Webscorer (link below) and closes on Saturday, 1/16/16 at 5:00 pm. For lowest cost, register online. Late, onsite registration will be available on Sunday between 12:30 and 1:15 pm for an extra $5. There is no day of race registration.

Skiers must be at least 9 years old to participate. All Novices are required to participate in Sunday’s safety clinic in order to race on Monday. The entry fee for the Novice category includes the safety clinic on Sunday, ammunition, use of a club rifle, and race entry.

All “experienced” biathletes must be USBA or Biathlon Canada safety certified and have
access to a rifle to zero.

Entry fee:

Novice – $25 – includes safety clinic, use of rifle and ammunition and race fees.

MVB/WBA member – $15
